Joomla, PHP, CMS... bleh!

For nearly a week now, I have played with various CMS to no avail.

Let me say this much for 99% of all Content Management Systems: they are not "intuitive." They should be - they contain intuitive components and names and most of them behave the way you would think they should and all such as that - but they all have 1209723490872348 more components and settings than they should and you have to constantly navigate between pages and toggle settings to accomplish even the simplest things.

It looks like I am going to have to just do the whole thing by hand, after all, though I probably will leave at least one of these CMS packages live to play with as I can, just to see if I can get anything going eventually.

    Have you tried some of the simpler yet powerful ones such as Wordpress or others? I've got a huge list of potential candidates for your CMS here.. and they are all free:
